Northwoods United Way Annual Ice Fishing Jamboree -

The 5th Annual United Way Ice FIshing Jamboree was held on February 6th, 2010 near Stack's Bay off Hwy 47 just south of Woodruff.  The event was the most successful ever, 'netting' the most anglers and well as the highest proceeds from a single event in United Way history.  Thanks to all the hard work from local UPS'ers & some great contributions from area merchants, we earned more than $6000!!!  We can't wait until next year.  Be watching for information for 2011.

As in the past, many walked away with great raffles prizes and everyone left with a door prize.  Remember, at the 2008 Jamboree, a marked fish worth $1,500 was caught.  Prizes are given for longest Walleye, Perch, Bluegill/Sunfish, Crappie & Northern.  Raffles & many prizes have event-goers returning year after year.  Contact UPS (Bruce) at 715.499.2424 or email tracybeckman@yahoo.com.   Event organized by Partner Business and United Way National Corporate Leader, UPS...What can Brown do for you?
