WAOW United Way Telethon:

On August 18, 2020, News 9 will present a United Way Day of Donations and call for help. WAOW has planned a coordinated effort dedicate to the United Ways of Central Wisconsin.  10 area United Ways have teamed up and will represent United Way in their respective county, city or area.  Watch for more details, stories, news segments and ways to give.

COVID -19 COMMUNITY RESPONSE FUND ESTABLISHEDToday we are announcing that Northwoods United Way is launching a COVID-19 Community Response Fund. The emergence and rapid spread of this virus has caused a level of disruption in our lives that none of us could imagine just a short while ago. This crisis is also driving urgent and unexpected needs in communities all across the Northwoods as many face financial uncertainty stemming from efforts to contain the virus.

We have, therefore, set up this fund so that we can mobilize our resources to provide support where it is most needed. 

The Northwoods United Way, it’s board of directors, and along with other community leaders, will have input on what the unmet or additional needs are in the community as it relates to COVID-19, and our goal is to ensure funds get in to the hands of agencies that serve those needs in an expedient manner.

A separate fund has been set up at this bank and all funds will be used to assist local agencies in our areas.

Planning is already happening for the next Hodag Musky Challenge, which will take place September 25, 26 and 27, 2020.  This is a big event for our community and we are looking for volunteers.  If you want to be part of this special weekend by volunteering, or by fishing...contact Nancy!
